which visa would be applicable for such a constellation under the notice 78?

Hello,recently I read about the notice 78 and currently I'm really not sure what the right type I should apply. Background my company produced machines in Germany for a Chinese company and later sent the machines to China. Now some of us have to travel their and help the chinese partner to get the machines running. Before I read about the notice I thought M type would be sufficient. TIA

If your total stay is less than 90 days, then you just need to apply for a M type. The invitation letter from your Chinese partner is required. Sometimes, you are required to provide the invitation letter issued by duly authorized Chinese unit.
