About:China Tourist Visa

Not wanting to purchase a return ticket until ready to come home.

Do we have to have a return ticket? China is a big place and we want to travel around and not be confined to a return date; therefore we want to purchase a return ticket when we decide to come back to the US. We have friends living there, working there (Americans). We will be staying and at times traveling with them.

If you don't want to buy the return air ticket, then you should ask your friends to send an invitation letter instead. And copies of the inviter's passport information page and valid visa or resident permit are required.
