About:China Consulate in Houston

If already bought ticket, do I still need invite letter from relatives from China to apply for visa?

This is for my daughter who is 13 years old. She wants to visit her grandma. She visited before and has the record in the past.

John, air tickets and hotel booking are required if she doesn't have an invitation letter. In my opinion, you should let the relative to send an invitation letter. If her grandma is a Chinese, then a copy of her grandma's Chinese ID card is required.
