Questions concerning working in China

Hello,

my boss asked to investigate if there is something like a 1-month visa which allows an employee to work in China. He stumbled over this 1-month thing somewhere in the "world wide web", however I did not find anything in regard to such a visa.
So my question, is there something like an 1-month type (incl. working permit)?

Furthermore I just wanted to be sure that working on tourist entry permit is highly dangerous and not recommendable, right?

Newman, it's possible to get a one-month M or F type to work in China for a short time. Comparatively speaking, it's easier to get the M or F type than the work Z type.

I would not suggest you working on the tourist type. Once you are caught, your tourist type will be cancelled. The bad record will affect your future application too.

Hello Victoria,

thank you very much for your reply.
Did I get it right, that there are "version" of the M or F type visa which allow to work in China for a short period of time? That are great news especially with your comment that they are easier to get.

Yes, the F or M type can be used for work, but only within short time. If you want to work for a long time, the embassy may ask you to apply for the Z type.
