Hi, what the best way to go from near Xinjiekou to Yangtze River Bridge and is it advisable to go in the evening around 6pm

Well, you can take subway line 1, and get off at Gulou (Drum Tower) Station. Then take public bus no.95 to West Shuiguan Bridge. After that, walk northwest around 1.3 miles. It's still advisable to go at around 18:00. So don't worry.
