extend a z visa for a month

Hi, i have a z type and currently working in china. However it will expire on the 15th July and my daughter is coming to visit me on the 16th July. I need to collect her from Hong Kong and we will return to China for 6 days then return back to Hong Kong. Can i get an extention for travel i will be moving to Hong Kong once we return back there.

Lorraine, do you have to pick up your daughter at Hong Kong? If you don't have to do it, you can just cancel your Z type before it expires and the officer will issue you a one-month L type within mainland. If you have to go to HK to collect your daughter, I think you should extend the Z type by providing relevant proofs. However, I'm not sure whether the extension will be granted.

Hi Gordon,
Thanks for your reply. Yes i have to go to Hong Kong to pick up my daughter. I was hoping i could get a multiple entry for a month as i will be working in Hong Kong after we return there. I will enquire about extending a Z type thanks for your advice.
