Either at China Ferry Terminal and HK-Macau Ferry Terminal, you can take a ferry to Zhuhai Jiuzhou Port. You can arrive in 70min.

As a Canadian, you can get a visa on arrival at Zhuhai Gongbei Border. However, you will get in the city through Jiuzhou Port. So you'd better apply for a China visa in HK directly and it is available through the Office of The Commissioner of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC in Hk.
