VOA for Indian passport holder. Can we get at Huang gang border?

I am an Indian. I am planning to go to Hong-Kong and Shenzhen with my wife and son. I have a number of Chinese entry permits attached to my passport and also have a valid multientry Chinese entry permit. But my wife and son do not have a Chinese entry permit or one of any other country. They only have a Thailand VOA. Can they get the VOA for Shenzhen?

Vishal, your wife and son can apply for the VOA at Huanggang Border. However, it's hard to tell whether they can get it for sure because the immigrant officers have the final say. Even they got the VOA, they can just stay in Shenzhen for five days at most.

My suggestion is that they apply L types in advance before they go. In this case, they won't be afraid of being rejected for entering and they can visit other cities as well.
