About:China Visa Application in USA

US Citizen, resident of Hong Kong applying for a 10 year Chinese entry permit

I am a US citizen, but will be living in HK. I already have a dependent visa for HK. Can I apply for a 10 year tourist type from the United States before moving to HK without an air ticket or invitation letter?
Thank you.

Sara, the 10 years L type requirements haven't changed. You still need to provide air ticket and hotel booking if you can not provide an invitation letter.
