About:Chinese Embassy in India

I need to visit china on tourist visa

but they are asking the invitation letter and a seal of chinese government. are they necessary?

Well, I though the invitation letter here referred to the one issued by tourism bureau. If you can't provide the invitation letter, round-trip air tickets and hotel booking are also accepted.
