About:China Transit Visa

I'm a Norwegian citizen who will be stopping by Shang Hai for a less than 12 hour transit.

Would the 24 hour direct transit policy allow me to leave the airport for a couple of hours to go sightseeing before my next flight?
Thanks in advance!

Ann, you can exit the airport to have a short trip in the city. When you arrive and pass the immigration counter, you just mention this and they will give you an stamp on your passport. With this stamp, you can leave the airport. Forget to say, it is for free.
