Do I need a permit to visit Macau for a day trip?

I am a Chinese passport holder with Australian residency. I will be staying in Hong Kong for 5 days at the time and will not have a hong Kong permit.

In your situation, you can stay in Macau for seven days at most because you have Austalian residency.
