Can i get a 12 Month VISA? I have a New Zealand passport.

I have just returned from China on a 1 entry L type. i want to return for a 12 Month, multiple entry, what do i need to do for this? I can show air tickets for entry only, and 1 Months accommodation as Hotels can only take 30 day bookings. Do i need to show a return ticket? what other requirements do i need?
