Assistance with Chinese Visa at Manila Embassy

I've been trying to contact the China Embassy in Manila but I'm not getting any replies to my email. I am scheduled to be in Manila for a few days and then onwards to Beijing. I would like to apply while I am in Manila. Any advice?

John, the embassy in Manila normally does not accept applications from citizens of a third country if they don’t own Filipino residence permit. However, as there is no Chinese embassy in your country, I think you can try to do the application in the Philippines. You are suggested to call the embassy at 0063-2-8482395 (between 09:00-11:00 and 14:00--16:00 on working days). If they say you can’t apply from there, then you should do the application at the PRC embassy in the Federated States of Micronesia.
