Japan - Seoul - Beijing - Japan - visa free transit possible?

Dear Sir / Madam,
I am a British national living in Japan - is it possible to do a Japan - Seoul - Beijing - Japan trip using the 72 hour free transit? The tickets will probably be booked with different airlines.

Thanks very much

Thank you for your reply. How about if I fly Osaka - Seoul return, and from Seoul I have another return ticket which is Seoul - Beijing? e.g. 27 April Osaka - Seoul, 2 May Seoul Beijing, 4 May Beijing - Seoul, 4 May Seoul - Osaka?
