Ashley, Qin Empire wasn't the first one to build the wall. It was originally built in 656 BC. Until the Ming Dynasty, the construction still continued. However, it was almost stopped in Qing Dynasty. So you can see that the construction finished in Ming Dynasty. Ming Dnasty ended in 1644. Then you can figure out that it took around 2300 years to build the wall.

Ashley, you obviously misunderstood me. I said Qin Dynasty wasn't the first one that built the wall. The earliest wall was built in 656BC. After the Qin Dynasty, it was Ming Dynasty who massively built the wall. However, the construction was almost stopped in Qing Dynasty.

You need to understand that Qin Dynasty (221BC-207BC) and Qing Dynasty (1636-1912AD) are different.
