About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hong Kong - Shanghai - Hong Kong. Do we need the visa?

Dear Sir/Madam,
My friend and I are planning a 2-day trip to Shanghai. We come from Italy and the Netherlands and are currently working in Hong Kong. We will fly from Hong Kong to Shanghai and back to Hong Kong again within 72 hours.
Best regards,
Robin Smeets

Robin, to avail yourself of the free transit, you can’t fly from a place and then back to the same place. Therefore, you are not eligible for the 72 hrs free transfer policy.
