About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can I leave mainland China for 5 days (to Taiwan) then come back on a single entry visa?

I have been told that it is ok to do this under the 72 hour exemption. I will be back in Beijing for a night before leaving to go back to the UK.

Yes, you can make use of 72 hours free transit in Beijing when you fly back to UK from Taiwan. However, you should bear in mind that your flight can't stop at any other city except for Beijing.

No, just hold your passport and the flight ticket with confirmed departure date and seat for you.
