Customs at the Beijing airport

Hi, Would anyone know how long does it take to leave the airport when arriving? Do we go through exit customs as well? Someone mentioned it takes 2-3 hours to even leave airport. Also, how many hours in advance should we be back at the airport? How long does it usually take to go through customs? Is it different for European flights versus US flights? Thank you in advance

Under normal circumstance, around 30 minutes are enough for check-out if there doesn’t have a long queuing.

For all international transfers, you need to go through the immigration and the customs are needed. 20-30min would be needed.

To go back to the airport, you should preserve 2.5-3h for your sake. And the process is the same between European flights and US flights.
