About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I get a 72 hour Visa when I arrive by cruise ship and leave by airplane

I will be arriving in Shanghai on September 27, 2015 on the cruise ship - Celebrity Milllennium. We fly out of Shanghai on September 29, 2015 on China Air - CA1502 at 11.55am to Beijing and catch a connecting flight in Beijing on Air Canada flight AC30 leaving same day at 16.05pm.
We will tour around Shanghai from Cruise ship arrival until China Air flight on September 29th.
Can we acquire the 72 hour free transit?

Hi Don! It's a pity that you cannot acquire the free transit. You should apply an L type or G type entry permit for your travel beforehand at the Chinese embassy.
