Canadian citizen in need to apply for Chinese visa

Hi! I will be in Brazil for a trip from May to June, but I also have another trip for China planed for right after my Brazil trip. Because I have family members in PRC, I will be applying for the Q2 type (as I believe, I'm staying less than 180 days). Can I apply in Brazil? If yes, what are the requirements for the application and how can I apply? Thank you!

Alyssa, you actually still have time to apply before you go to Brazil. The validity is usually three months. Suppose you apply in mid April, you still can use it to enter before mid July. If you submit all required documents to the CVASC, you can get it on the fourth working day.

Is your family aso a Canadian? Does he/she work or study in PRC? In this case, you should apply for a S2 type instead of Q2. Except for your passport, application form and passportp photo, your family should send you the invitation letter, copies of his passport information page and resident permit. For you, you need to provide the kinship certificate to prove the relationship with him/her.
