About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Hi, i fly from Macau -> Shanghai -> Hong Kong. Does this qualify for the 72 hrs transit?

James, your route is qualified for the 72 hours free transit. However, I am afraid that the immigration in Shanghai might refuse your entry because they might think you try to escape from applying valid entry permit in advance. I have read people like you were refused.

I personally think that you'd better apply for a L type in advance to avoid the risk of being refused to enter.
