Shenzhen visa travelling from HK

Good afternoon,
I am French Citizen living in Singapore. I will be travelling to HK soon and will have a 2H meeting in Shenzhen. Do I need to apply for China entry permit before arriving in HK or can I apply while going to Shenzhen?

Hi Charles, I'm afraid that you can't get the Shenzhen VOA, and you have to apply for it before arriving in HK. Another option is to leave Shenzhen for a third country within 24 hours or 72 hours, so you can make use of the free transit policy. However, if you choose to use the 72 hour policy, the whole trip shall be taken by air.
