About:Beijing Subway

Subway price and ticket purchase

I will visit Beijing for three days. How to pay for the metro? Since the trip is no longer $2/per ride any more and the price is based on the distance, we will not know exactly how much it costs each ride. So I guess we need to buy a travel card and deposit well enough money in it. Is this true?

Also, can we get refund before we leave if we still have some money left in the card?

Yes peter,its more good to buy the card.for my recent travel of 10days always using the card for visiting almost all attraction including great wall and qinglong george i put 180rmb and its enough..so for 3days 100 rmb is enough and dont wory u can refund and recharge it in some metro stations..if u will not buy a card,u will be wasting time and too many people in the metro
