I need to renew my SAR passport, I live in Virginia. Where is the closest office I can go to apply?

I need to renew my SAR passport, I live in Virginia, can I mail my application form (registered) to your office? If not, where is the closest one to my state?

Please correct me if I am wrong:
All I need is:
Completed Form ID 843,
photocopy of HK ID card and passport in A4 size paper;
Fees (Can I pay by credit card?)

Thank you very much.

Michelle, you can’t mail the application form to the embassy. That is, you have to go to the embassy in person. You should go to the embassy in Washington, D.C.

The documents you mentioned are not enough for the application. Other documents required are: three qualified color photos against white background, form ROP 143, HK ID card, original SAR passport, filled-out form ID 853 and a check of CHASE, CITIBANK or BANK OF AMERICA which is made payable to 'The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region'.
