About:China Visa Application in UK

I am currently on a temporary working visa in Australia and a UK citizen.

I am moving home but wanted to do some travel in China on my way back. What kind of entry permit do I need and how do I go about obtaining this if I can't visit an embassy in the UK?

Helen, an L type should be obtained for your trip in China. You can either submit the application in person or by posts to the CVASC branch in Australia. Prepare the following documents in advance: a passport valid for at least six months and having two or more blank pages, a photocopy of the passport, a filled application form with your recently-taken color bare-headed photo stuck on it, the original and photocopy of your Australian work certificate and entry record, and round-trip tickets and hotel room bookings for China. If you want to save time, you can make an appointment through the CVASC’s website before you go there.
