Dear Friend,I am a Canadian Nationale and will be travelling to India and will be stopping over in kunming China for about 23 hours and would like to go out of the airport and visit the city do I qualify for a 24 hour free transit, if not then what do I need to do and how much do I need to pay for that 1 day entry permit? Yes, you can apply for 24 hours free transit. However, you need to apply for a stay permit when you arrive in Shanghai. Then you can take your stay permit (just a stamp on your passport) to exit Kunming airport.
