Yes, you can climb up the mountain without taking the cable car. As the dangerous pass, you can choose to go another way and without passing it. Don’t worry, I had climbed the mountain several times. There is no big problem

Hello,
we want to go the up to the North peak from the West Gate. So we must pass the Thousand Foot Precipice and the Hundred Foot crevice. You wrote that there is a chance to bypass the dangerous sections? How can I do this? Will I find the alternative ways?
Thanks

Yeah, both of them can be avoided. Actually, near the two parts, you can find another easier route/way up. Just walk that way and it is not dangerous at all.
