About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

My ticket is New York to Beijing on 4/3, leave for Mongolia on 4/4, and back to Beijing on 4/6.

I have one-time visa for china, can I use 72-hour free transit on 4/3 arrival? Use my my entry permit after I come back from Mongolia.
Many thanks!
Jim

Yes, you can do it. However, you'd better remind the immigration officer of not stamping on your single entry permit. Just tell him that you want to make use of 72 hours free transit instead of your single entry permit.
