About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Do I qualify for 72 hr transit visa and are all applications done upon arrival to Shanghai?

Cdn citizen with Cdn passport. Pleasure trip . Return ticket Toronto to Shanghai. Onward roundtrip ticket Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taiwan and back to Shanghai. Staying 2 nights Shanghai on the way and one night Shanghai on the way back. Thankyou. Pam

Pam, you qualify for the free transit policy on both ways. Each time before the plane land, you should tell the attendants that you intend to make use of the policy, so that they will inform the immigration authorities in advance. Then you can do the application upon arrival at Shanghai.
