I am going to Hong Kong on the 16th of April until 23rd April. I have been told I can apply (if required) at the boarder however I was also told to apply (if required) before I leave australia. Can you tell me what I am to do please.Thank YouDeb K

Deb, where do you intend to go for shopping? If you go to Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Xiamen, or Shantou, it is likely that you can get a five-day or three-day VOA. If you want to go to other cities, you need to apply for one entry permit in advance.
