About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hours Visa to Shanghai for a Norwegian person.

I plan to travel from Norway to Seoul in May this year.. on the way I would like to stop a weekend to visit Shanghai as a tourist for 2 days.. ( Arrive Friday and Depart Sunday ) ..
Can I apply for a 72 hrs free transit.. ( see Norway is not on the list as Schengen Agreement Countries) or do I need to apply for a full Tourist type. ( has visited China before. )
Best regards Einar from Norway

Einar, you'd better apply for a L type in advance. Since you already have air ticket from Shanghai to Seoul, you just need to book a hotel in Shanghai and then you can bring the air ticket, hotel booking, your passport, application form and a recent passport photo to the Chinese embassy/consulate in your country. It takes around 4 working days to deal with your application.
