About:How to Choose China Train Ticket Types?

Bullets from Shanghai to Beijing

I will like to take rail from Shanghai to Beijing. What train i shall take and from which station from Shanghai?
Can i purchase ticket on same day of travelling.Thanks

There are many G types go from Shanghai to Beijing which depart from Shanghai Hongqiao station. You can purchase on the day of travelling, but you'd better check the availbility often. If you find them become limited, you can book online in advance.
