Home Return Permit

I'll be taking a cruise from Vancouver to Shanghai. I'm a holder of a "Home Return Permit". When boarding the ship in Vancouver, is it ok to have a "Home Return Permit" instead of a China visa?

Amelia, I think you should consult this with the cruise company. In my opinion, you'd better take your passport and home return permit together. The latter one is the valid document for you to enter mainland China. In order to board the ship, I think your passport is required too.
