transit at Beijing while going to home country

Hi , I am British citizen and need to travel from Tokyo to Beijing through Japan air ( arriving terminal 3 at Beijing airport ) and then after 5 hours travelling to Manchester UK from terminal 2 of Beijing airport, but I have to self transfer (collect luggage from T3 and checkin again at terminal 2) , please let me know if it’s possible to do this in Beijing without transit visa or immigration.
