Xiamen-Jinmen-Taipei

Hi. I will be China starting April 5 & will make my way to Taipei via XM-Jinmen. I will probably spend about 2 days in XM. Just a few questions though:

1. What is the season in South of China by April? I am not sure how it will affect the sailing schedules to Jinmen.
2. Can I already buy the ticket online? Is there any source or I have to buy it in the port?
3. Will my Taiwan visa be required as soon as I arrive in Jinmen port?
4. Are the flights to Taipei from Kinmen Airport reliable? I mean, considering time, aviation safety, etc.

Thank you.

1. It is during the late spring, but the weather has been warm. Cloudy day would be the majority and several lightly rainy days may happen, but it has little influence on the sailing schedule. Just relax!
2. Ferries between XM and Jinmen are frequently schedule. You can easily get a ticket on the spot, so no need to book in advance. Anyway, on the official website of Wutong Port, the tickets can be booked, but it only has Chinese version.
3. Yes, upon your dropping-off, your Taiwan visa is required.
4. Yes, it will be safe enough without delay. Don’t worry!
