About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

if we use the 72hrs visa transit, is it allowed to fly back to HKG to catch a direct flight to LHR?

Hello,
I am arranging a trip where we will fly LHR - SGP 2 days in SGP - BKK 1 day - HKG 1 day and then on to PSV. We are French and German.

I didn't get it. According to your route, you don' transit in any Chinese city where 72 hours free transit policy is adopted. For HK, you needn't apply for any type because you enjoy 90 days free stay there.
