Visa to Macau and Zhuhai, China

Hello there. I really find your column very helpful. I will be visiting Macau this April only for about a week and the following week I will join my bf in mainland who is going to have a meeting there. It's all vacation for me, him being the sponsor ( obviously I don't have the money for this trip(s) Do I need to apply for the trip? If so, can I apply for it once I arrive in MC on the first week. Or should I apply here in Manila at the Chinese consulate? Thank you.. Please please , help ..

Charie, in fact, you only need to get one tourist entry permit for Zhuhai because Macau gives Filipino passport holders a free entry for 30-day stay. Since you don't have residence permit in Macau, I suggest you apply for the L type in Manila. Generally speaking, you will be required to submit your passport, a photocopy of its data page, a filled application form, a 48mm×33mm bare-headed photo, and roundtrip ticktets and hotel reservations for Zhuhai. If you are coming to mainland China for the first time, you should also provide a financial standing proof , work certificate, or student certificate.
