About:China Business Visa

Not sure what type of visa would be easiest or best given?

I have been asked to come over to give a lecture to a school in Shanghai.

Hello, the easiest and most suitable one for your case is an F type. You can apply for it at the Chinese embassy or consulate in the US with the following materials: a passport, a passport's info page photocopy, a truely filled application form, a recently taken bare-headed photo, and an invitation letter from the school.
