x visa to z visa

Can I change my x type to z type here in Shanghai successfully?

Cindy, I think there is a possibility to do it, but not 100%. You can try to change it at the Shanghai Exit and Entry Administration Bureau, if the officer refuses to issue you the Z type, you have to go back to your home country and apply for it.
