UK citizen traveling from Baku, Azerbaijan - Beijing, China and back in under 72 hours.

Hi, I'm currently working/living in Baku, Azerbaijan and have booked a direct flight for Beijing at 19:20 on the 20th of March, arriving in Beijing at 06:20am on the 21st. I've booked a hotel for two nights in Beijing and then have a return flight on the 24th at 01:00am Beijing time, arriving back in Azerbaijan at 05:00am.

I've read a lot about visa free travel to Beijing when being there under 72 hours but i'm not 100% sure i meet the criteria. The local Chinese embassy wasn't sure and neither is Azerbaijan Airlines.

Any help would be most appreciated!
