About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transiting from shipping port to airport

Do I qualify for 72 hour visa free transit if I land in Baoshan port from cruise ship and then take flight out of China from Pudong airport on the same day? If so, what paperwork do I need to submit? I am an Australian.

Irene, as you enter China by cruise not by air, you don't qualify for the 72 hour free transit. However, you still don't need the entry permit because you are eligible for the 24 hour free transit policy. Papers you need to take are your passport and onward flight tickets.
