About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can the option be used if flying Stand-By?

Plan on flying in from Chicago, USA and stopping over in for two days before connecting to Hong Kong. The flights will all be done on Standby. Can I do that?
Thanks!
Brian

Brian, I'm afraid you can't get yourself benefited from the 72 hour transit entry permit waiver policy with standby tickets. Only if you hold tickets with confirmed seating will you be allowed to make use of the policy.
