Getting China visa in Baku, Azerbaijan

Hi, I am a UK passport holder and travelling in Azerbaijan. I plan to go to China to study, is it possible to get a chinese entry permit in Baku if I have LOIs and travel details for proof?

Julia, it is possible to apply from the embassy in Baku, but if you have enough time to wait for the X type entry permit to be processed before your travel, you had better apply it from your home country to play on the safe side.
