what do I need to get a tourism L type to stay in china for 2 - 3 weeks?

Hello, I'm now living (working) in the south of India (multiple entries business visa), but at the end of the year I would like to travel to china, Beijing, the great wall, and also to other Asian countries nearby. What do I need for that propose and where can I do it here in India? and how long it takes all the process??

Milena, you should apply for an L type from the CVASC center in India. There are altogether three centers there and you should choose one in charge of your residence region. The normal process takes four working days and if you use express service it's two working days. The required documents are your passport, a photocopy of the passport, a properly filled application form with a recent bare-headed photo stuck on it, a photocopy of your entry permit for India, a certificate from your country's embassy in India, roundway tickets and hotel bookings, a personal statement, your work certificate in India or a bank statement of the lastest six months, and other documents required by the consular officer.

In addition, you should be aware that the L type usually keeps valid only for three months, so you cannot apply for it now and the best time to do the application is one month before your travel to China.
