I want to visit Nanjing in late May. What clothes will I need to bring?

According to the weather records, it will be a bit hot and the average temp is about 76 F. You can wear T-shirts and short pants as well as slippers.0

It seems to be getting warmer, but May is not yet summer. You can also expect some rain, which often lasts all day.
I'd bring a long-sleeve shirt or two, some short-sleeve shirts, some t-shirts, and long summer pants. A bit early for sandals, I think!1
