Hi! We want to drive from Almaty via Urumqi to Ulaanbaatar.

Hi ,

Frist day its better to stay in the town or hotel closer to Kazakhstan_Chinese border , in the morning you start go through your and car fomalities at both boeder . so 2nd day you reach to Urumqi .

3rd day in the late afternoon or in the evening you can reach to China_ Monggolia border you can exit from Takeshken or Laoyemiao border , Takeshken - 450kms from Urumqi and laoyemiao 570kms kms from Urumqi .so 4th day you can exit from China . but i dont know the road condition in to Ulanbbator , I think 2-3 days can be enough.

you need Chinese driving license and plate number . also you need costoms documents , its a lot paper work .....
