About:Chinese Consulate in New York

Indian citizen visiting US from Hong Kong

My parents (citizens of India) would like to visit some relatives in Hong Kong for 80-90 days, after which they will come visit me in USA for approx 120 days. Following the US trip they will go back to my relatives in Hong Kong for about 8-10 days and then they will go back to India. So their itinerary is: India-HK-USA-HK-India. They already have 10-year multiple entry USA visa. What are the immigration requirements for them to visit Hong Kong - first for 3 months and then for 10 days? Thanks.

Kelly, your parents need to apply one for HK for their first trip to HK because they stay longer than 14 days. They can submit their application to Chinese embassy in India. The required documents are:
1 photocopies of their passport information pages
2. completed ID1003A form affixed with recent six months passport photos
3. financial proof, such as bank statement, employment certificate and salary slips
4. a photo of kinship certificate between them and their relatives in HK
5. flight tickets from HK to USA

For their second trip to HK, they needn't prepare anything special because Indians enjoy 14 days free stay in HK with their valid Indian passports if they travel or transit in HK.
