About:China Visa Exemption

Does a German passport holder require a visa?

he will be visiting Shanghai arriving on the evening of 21/4/15 and leaving on the evening of 24/4/15 to return to Germany and/or the UK.

Janine, 72 hours should be counted from 00:00 of next day, according to many passengers who make use of 72 hours free transit in Shanghai. If so, you may use 72 hours free transit too. However, you can fly from Germany and fly back to Germany.
