Can an American citizen apply for a L type at the Chinese ambassy in Kuala Lumpur. If so how long will this take?

If you plan to apply from the CVASC branch in Kual Lumpur, you should provide original and photocopy of your valid resident proof, employment or student status or other valid legal stay.
